Born in the USA

I had lunch in Meatpacking today after watching/supporting my man get a haircut at F.S.C - that's love right there. The cobblestone in this area of NYC makes it my favorite place to hang, eat, shop, and don't even get me started on the nightlife... I bought this white blazer I'm wearing from one of LF's many amazing seasonal sales last year, you can't really tell but it has shoulder pads which I love! I'm still on the hunt for some amazing leather pants so I can stop wearing the same pair all the time, ah. If you have any suggestions please comment!!

Clowning Around

This morning I was lucky enough to have Teen Vogue come to my apartment to do a feature on me and my blog for TeenVogue.com. I had so much fun dressing up and having all my little nic nacks photographed up-close and personal. From my jewelry, to shoe collection, to bed, nothing was untouched. So get ready guys, because soon enough you'll get to see the private life of WeWoreWhat, where the magic happens...

[This is look 4 from the Quirky Menswear Blue Perk x WeWoreWhat photo-shoot. Check out the full post here and an interview on Blue Perk.]

Wearing: Brandy Melville Sweater | All Saints Jeans | Deena&Ozzy Oxfords | Alexander McQueen Bangle | Remi&Emmy Bags

Loving all my new purchases featured in this post...and even more excited to introduce you guys to one my favorite new handbag lines, Remi&Emmy. The uptown girl in a downtown world inspired collection was designed for bloggers and street stylists that inspired the creators. And, guess who was one of them? ME! I worked with several other bloggers in the design collective for Remi&Emmy and can confidently say we did an awesome job. Check out more from the line here. Remi&Emmy is available exclusively at Dillards & Lord & Taylor.

For my outfit: The All Saints jeans that come in five other colors are the perfect fitting skinny jean and you can't see it here, but they have zippers on the back ankle. Yes, and bought a second pair too. My other new purchase are these oxfords that are on sale at Urban Outfitters for super cheap; if you haven't realized yet, I love my oxfords and have this pair in the tan color (I spray painted the tips recently).

Channeling Chaplin

Wearing: H&M Pants | Forever21 Bodysuit | Urban Outfitters Suspenders | Vintage Blazer - Similar | Vintage Belt | Keds Canvas Shoes

Channeling Charlie Chaplin in Look 3 from the Quirky Menswear Blue Perk x WeWoreWhat photo-shoot. This time, it's all about the modern trouser and contrast blazer, all white and a pop of color. I felt the Keds added a touch of  irony and I turned gaga-eyed over this gorgeous white townhouse with the brightest red door I've ever seen.

Risky Business

Wearing: DL1961 Jeans | Equipment Blouse | UO Skinny Tie | Converse Shoes

In look two of the Quirky Menswear Blue Perk x WeWoreWhat photo shoot, we are channeling Tom Cruise from Risky Business - proving why a white button down should be a staple in every women's closet. Walking by this stoop on 11th street the other day, I knew I had to find a way to take pictures on it because it reminded me of childhood days with Hey Arnold and "stoop kid." Good times. Hope everyone had a great weekend and is enjoying some Sunday Funday. I'm off to Caravan Studio now for a Socialyte hosted Oscar's Party! Because who doesn't love to diss celebrities in their oh-so-wrong Oscar gowns.

Quirky Saturday

Wearing: Work Custom Pants | Dolce Vita Loafers | H&M Tank & Clutch | Vintage Blazer

Today I was photographed in a quirky menswear inspired photo shoot with my good friend Freddy from BluePerk. We had such a fun time putting together four looks and styling them to resemble our favorite kind of men. For the next three days I will be uploading each look one at a time, revealing the final lookbook on day four. Hope you like it!

Silky Pants

Wearing: Thrifted Pants - Similar | Topshop Vest | American Apparel Button-Up | Urban Outfitter Boots

It may just be coincidence but my animal instincts have been hollering lately, I didn't even realize when I got dressed this morning that leopard was featured in yesterday's post - whoops. I found these silk harem pants at buffalo exchange earlier this year, and they're so comfortable like pajama's. Speaking of- silky pajama-esqué pants are taking over the Spring trend board this year. Check out WhoWhatWear's trend report for some outfit inspiration on how to wear them.

Wearing: Work Custom Pants | Topshop Blouse | H&M Blazer - Similar | Deena&Ozzy Oxfords | Asos Belt

Surprise surprise, it's another beautiful day in NYC and almost 60 degrees! Today my animal instincts told me to wear this colorful morphed Topshop tee that has been sitting in my closet for a while now. And since I was feeling the color, I decided to add a little pop with this fluro skinny belt from ASOS. My leather pants were a no brainer, but I think I should switch it up a little more with my bottoms. Tonight I'm going Champagning at the Dream Midtown thanks to miss Nicole Stillings. It's all about the tastemakers. Have a great day!

Come On Barbie

Wearing: Work Custom Pants | Free People Top | Topshop VestConverse | Jimmy Choo Sunglasses

Yesterday was another beautiful day in NYC - happy belated President's Day everyone (a.k.a no school no work day). I was thinking of sporting red/white/blue but then I realized how cliché that is, even though it could be awesome. So instead, I decided to borrow my life-size Barbie friend Chelsea's top and give it a little edge with some black leather. I'm in the process of re-designing my blog with the help of my man, Max. Look out blogosphere, I'm coming for you.

BIG SHOUT OUT to CocoKouture Magazine for featuring me on Blog Spotter Style.

Fashion week is over, and my life has finally slowed down (a bit). There will always be shows at the tents and star-studded events, but its the little things that keep going, like pottery! Yes pottery- today I spent my morning painting a mug and when I tell you it was therapeutic, I mean it. On a side note, can you guys believe that it's supposed to be the dead of winter here in NYC? The weather has been way too nice for this time of year, hence my layer upon layer in this post or lack there of.

Come Sail Away

NYFW Outfit Day 6
Vintage Jacket
American Apparel Button-up
Work Custom Pants
Dolce Vita Booties
Asos Bag

Ah, today was a lovely day at NYFW. I went to the Joanna Mastraoianni and J.Mendel fashion shows which were both incredible. I'd like to say I'm sad fashion week is ending, but my feet really could use the rest. Spa day anyone? Not yet though - tonight is the Jeremy Scott and Style360 after parties and you know I'll be dancing the night away. And then, it's back to reality....

Last Call, NYFW

Calling all street style, last call for New York Fashion Week. This season the street style surrounding Lincoln Center was on point. We saw lots of fur and a ton of leather which can be expected, but the color palettes are what made this fashion week one to remember. From pastels to neons, the street goers of the fashion industry came and went with a bang
